The Rice Growers Association held a Field Day at Conargo (NSW) on Wednesday 29th July focused on “Farm Efficiency”
Presenters included CSIRO, Colleambally Irrigation, NSW Department of Primary Industries and local farmers presented initiatives focused on increasing efficiency in farm operations.
Marcus Clayton presented results from recent Bennett Clayton Diesel to LPG engine conversion implemented in deep bore irrigation applications. Fuel cost savings of 25% were demonstrated. The field day was extremely well attended with great interest expressed in the savings possible from Diesel to LPG conversion, as well as in the dramatic reductions in harmful emissions delivered.
